Travelling is an experience in itself and no one can deny this. While travelling one gathers a lot of information and learn new things, from food to history, to meeting new people it’s altogether a brand new experience. It not only rejuvenates but also adds value to our personality. Every place teaches us something or the other including the people our paths crosses with.

Travelling to a place needs a good planning as to where to go? when to go? because you only make make one trip perfect if you go at the right time, by right time it means perfect weather, good company, means of transport and of course the perfect place.

February being the month of love and Spring offers and calls out for a trip! Travelling in February is an treat in itself, nothing can beat the weather, the breeze and eye candy  when leaves fall and make  a location picture perfect.

India being an incredible country with versatile places, flexible transport, variety of food and sweetest people, doesn’t stop anyone to take a trip across India.

So, here’s a curated list of places one should definitely go to in February!

1. Sikkim – Losar Festival

Sikkim one of the states in North-East India is as amazing as it could be, from the Losar Festival which begins in first week of February. The celebration of the Tibetan New Year commences on the first day of the first month of every lunar year. The ancient monastaries, orchid nurseries, good weather, new culture all excites tourists and travellers across the world and hence all of this makes Sikkim a must go place during February in India.

2. Goa

Who doesn’t want to go Goa? And that too during the time when Goa is having a carnival? The beaches, the night parties, concerts, churches what’s not in Goa? And what’s the perfect time to visit Goa? February, the time when there is a Goa Carnival going. Another advantage of going Goa during February is that it has a right weather to enjoy places because from the beginning of March the temperature starts rising making it difficult to enjoy during day time atleast! Besides that it’s clean and is less crowdy as compared to December ahead of New Year.

3. Jaisalmer Rajasthan

Before the scorching summer, it’s mandatory to take a trip to Jaisalmer city of Rajasthan. It attracts people who are excited for desert safari, forts and it’s sandstone architecture which is also the reason behind Jaisalmer being popular as Golden City.

4.Khajuraho, Madhya Pradesh

Khajuraho calls out a lot of travellers as it has a Khajuraho Dance Festival on going during February. Besides that what makes Khajuraho popular across the world is the temples with erotic and sensuous carvings. Khajuraho is the perfect example of architecture during the medieval period which depicts love in the form of carvings.

5. Taj Mahal, Agra

Who doesn’t wishes to see the epitome of Love, which is also one of the 7 wonders of the world, but there is anothe reason as to why one should visit Taj Mahal during February. During this month of Spring, there is a Taj Mahotsav organized a 10-day celebration of various things like; art and craft, cuisines, dance and music by the Eastern gate of the Taj Mahal.

6. Puri, Orrisa

Puri is worldwide famous for the Jagannath Temple which also is one the four-must-visit pilgrimages for the Hindus. The grand rath yatra gives a all religious, pious and spiritual vibes. Puri a beach city also has other locations that attracts people to this city are Chilka Lake, Konark Sun Temple etc.

7. Nasik, Maharashtra

This city of Maharashtra has a SulaFest an essential during the month of February. Altogether a chill vibe with music played till late night, the Gourmet World Music Festival is in the bucket list of Music lovers and one should definitely witness the carefree ambience.

8. Yercaud, Tamil Nadu

Also known as the land of seven forests, Yarcaud is all green and takes you close to nature and give you a experience which makes you think how important greenery is. Green is beautiful and all what we humans need for a happy living on this planet Earth.Killiyur Falls, Emerald Lake, dense forests along with magnanimous coffee plantations are some of the beautiful insights of this place. The photographer who have a zeal for nature photography can choose this as their next photo destination amidst exotic flora.

9. SurajKund Mela, Haryana

Surajkund which means Lake of the Sun an ancient reservoir which was built by the King of the Tomar dynasty Suraj Pal in the 10th century. To boost the tourism of Faridabad this festival was organised, it’s basically an International Craft Mela. This festival is unique in its own way, its beauty is that this festival provides platform for artists from across the globe.

10. Kanha National Park, Madhya Pradesh

While Kanha National Park being the largest National Park in Central India alongside been on the list of best parks in Asia. This National Park is home to 22 species of large mammals, the royal Bengal tigers. Kanha National Park being one of the Tiger Reserves in India covers more than an area of 940-kilometre square.
